  1. Check your e-mail for a confirmation. It will contain a list of documents to bring with you to the Evaluation meeting.

  2. Take your communication profile. It helps us understand how you like to communicate.

How does the Free DISCOVERY FLIGHT work?

STEP 1:

1-Hour Evaluation Meeting

The first step is for us to sit down together and evaluate each of the 5 Mission Critical Retirement areas (Legacy, Assets, Uncle Sam, Cashflow, & Healthcare). Are you ready to launch? Let’s find out… We will dig deep to understand your goals and what you would like to achieve. We will ask lots of questions to understand your concerns and also determine what areas you would like help, and what you may have covered elsewhere. At the conclusion, you will have the freedom to decide if you would like to proceed with a second meeting. If so, we will to to work behind the scenes.

STEP 2:

Verification Meeting

This second meeting is typically shorter. In preparing for this meeting, we have looked at the data we gathered from the Evaluation, analyzed it and run it through a myriad of software suites that helps us make a determination of whether we can make a significant difference in your retirement. If we can, we will show you the impact we can have, and the costs you would pay. If not, we will tell you that too. Then, we leave time for lots of questions so that you can make an informed decision.

We want you to think about this decision and decide if our offering matches your needs and whether you believe we can help you accomplish your life goals. We are looking for long-term, mutually beneficial relationships and so there is never any hard sell. The decision to engage is always yours to make, and there is never any pressure.

STEP 3:

Answers to common questions…

  • We get paid in three ways. 1. There is a fee for our planning services. As you can imagine, this fee varies depending upon the complexity of your situation. Simple situations have very low fees, complicated situations are more expensive. 2. We are paid based on the assets we manage for you. We will put our asset management fees up against anyone and feel confident that you will not find a better value. 3. Sometimes an insurance product makes sense for your situation. In those cases, we are paid a commission directly by the insurance company. There is no fee to you, and any assets that go into that insurance contract are exempt from our management fees.

  • YES! That means we act with the utmost loyalty and care in putting your needs first. This is what we do anyway, but it’s nice to have a fancy title to go along with our own values.

  • We LOVE this question because we are proud to offer professional management at a reasonable price. Our fees are 1% of AUM (Assets Under Management) up to $1,000,000. For AUM of $1-3 million, our fee is 0.75%. And, for AUM of $3 million or more, we charge 0.50%. Feel free to compare our fees! Paying us less means that you keep more of your nest egg.

  • As you are starting to see, we are students of math and prefer to invest in high probability outcomes rather than chasing outsized returns. We often use a variety of low cost funds and ETFs to provide both the diversification we seek, and the proper allocation we desire to achieve your goals with the least amount of risk.
